Compost

This morning I was dumping rotten cherry tomatoes in my compost container in the kitchen and I started feeling frustrated about the waste.

But I thought about the process. That this rotten fruit will be laid at the foot of one of my fruit-bearing bushes and will be transformed into nutrient soil that their roots can draw from to grow good fruit.

Then the Lord so sweetly spoke to me and said "I love to take the rotten things in your life and turn it into rich soil for good fruit."

Isn't He so good? I'm so grateful that nothing is wasted in His kingdom. Every hurt, every pain, every lie we believe, He uses it all and transforms it into rich, nutrient soil so that our roots can grow deep in Him and grow good fruit.

As I have learned recently, I am not the producer of the fruit anymore than a tree can intentionally produce fruit. Without "son," light, nutrients, and water, a fruit-bearing tree will cease to grow.

Take comfort, today friend. If there are any rotten places in your life, give them to the Gardener of your heart and let Him turn it into rich nutrients for your soul.

Be blessed today.

You are loved.
